The 100th Hunger Games [[Roleplay]]

The animals correspond from its season. For example, the wolves in the Winter season are winter wolves. They are mutated wolves. They can't leave their season or they'll melt. This counts with all animals in the arena, except for insects or creatures with special purposes made by GMs. There will be many blackouts throughout the RP. GMs will make everything become dark. You'll need to find a source of light. Animals are attracted to light. They will either target you or be tamed by the light. Light can also attract other enemy tributes. I'm telling you this, but your character has no idea.

Ruth sighed. She was in her room. It was very early. She couldn't sleep at all last night. She stood up, her eyes had dark circles underneath. She took off her covers, walked to her bathroom and took a bath in a small tub. She made sure she cleaned everywhere. She wanted to be clean for the Reaping. It could possibly give her better luck so she didn't get picked. She stood up, dried herself with a towel and dressed into a nice dress with pantyhose underneath. She put on a tiny bit of make-up to cover her dark circles and eyeliner. She combed her hair to the side and looked in the mirror. She wasn't dressing all that fancy. Her dress was quite casual. It was not very long. She decided to take off her pantyhose since it would be too hot outside and just put some nice, white sandals with silver straps. She went outside. It was early still. She held her bow and arrow and walked away from the house slowly I better not get this dress dirty. She thought as she avoided the muddy plants on her way. She almost got away when her brother opened the door, making a loud sound. "Ruth! Would you come inside? It's reaping day. There's not going to be time for you to go hunting." He yelled. Ruth sighed. She walked inside and sat on her room. Her dress was way too plain. "Rafael, would you just leave me alone? I'm done already." She sat on her bed and took off her dress. She took out some cloth paint and a brush. She sketched on some lines with a pencil and dropped light pink cloth paint on the bottom. Then she dipped her brush on water and stroked gently to mix the colors. The dress now had a gradient effect. It would start out white and fade into light pink. She put on a floral headband and a denim jacket and put on the dress when it was dry. She looked into the clock. 11:50. I've got ten minutes. She stood up and woke up her baby sister. She cleaned her and dressed her nicely, and dialed a babysitter. Her mother was wide awake, sitting at the table having breakfast. "Hurry, mom!" Ruth said. She grabbed her by the arm and ran towards the reaping centre. Her brother was a couple steps behind.

Oceanna; District 4

Oceanna stares at the bedroom sealing, her green eyes looking glassy. Her golden locks are spread out, messily over-lapping each other. She doesn't want to get out of bed; Or even move. She sighs, sitting up, her knitted-blue blanket falling off her chest, revealing her scraped skin. She sighs once more, staring at her disgusting reflection in the mirror; Messy air, glassy eyes, dirty face. She looked disgusting in her eyes, anyways.






Jasper; District 1

Jasper was already up. He was shaking his head, brushing his hair. His bright blue eyes were emotionless, but seemed annoyed. He stuffed his hands in his pockets, sitting down at the maple-wood table, Staring at the beautiful designs. District 7's wood was truly beautiful. Jasper sighed, looking up at the ceiling. I don't want to volunteer, but I have to. He closed his eyes, sighing.


Diana; District 7
Diana stares down from the tree she was in. She picks at one of her scabs, making faces as she picked it. Her soft-brown coloured skin was dirty, and she lightly shook of the dust. Finally, she picked up her axe, weighing it in her hand. " If only I knew how to properly use this thing," She murmured. " Then, I'd get lots of food."

Clark; District 8

Clark quickly, but carefully, sewed up the rip in the dress she was ordered to fix. When it was finish, she gave it to the woman, flashing her fake smile. She rolled her eyes, brushing her red hair with her fingers. Then, she ran to her room, looking at the pink dress laid out on her bed; It was a hot pink, and reached her knees, straps on her shoulders. She slipped it on, then stared at herself in the mirror.

Flynn bolted upright. "Crap. Reaping day." he thought, dressing quickly and running downstairs. He kicked a stray gear across the room. District 3 made electronics and computers, so spare parts were commonplace. He stared up at an old, chipped clock on the wall. He had a bit of time before the reaping. He had carefully planned out his strategy in the arena, and he was ready to win it all should he be picked. He was often looked down upon for thinking like a career, but he always thought that it was better to be an outcast than be dead.

Ruth looked around. It was huge. Is this how it is like for the other districts every year? She thought. She stood in the crowd, looking around. She fiddled with her hair and put it into a braid. The woman from the Capitol soon arrived at the platform. She was very pale and was wearing strange make-up and a very strange outfit. Ruth felt out of place. "Well, good morning." The lady said. "I have got the honor to present to you the tributes for this Hunger Games." She said, excitedly. "I am very excited. It will be the one and only year with District 13 people." She continued talking in her thick Capitol accent. "It is time! Let's start the reaping, by taking out a female tribute that will have the great experience of participating in the 100th Hunger Games." She said. She put her hand into the glass ball containing all the girls and women in the district. She moved her fingers picking different papers up. She picked one and unfolded it. A smile got to her face once she finished reading. "Ruth Jones!" She yelled out. The crowd was silenced. Ruth's friends looked into her. Whispers were heard. "Well, where are you?" Ruth walked slowly. Her face was emotionless. She had gone pale out of horror. She went up the stairs silently. She couldn't hold it anymore. She tried to run but was blocked by peacekeepers.

By the time Flynn got to the reaping, the crowd was already starting to gather. He could see some cameramen taking positions high above the Justice Building, and a woman wearing flamboyant clothes and overdone makeup was positioning a large screen in the centre of the stage. Flynn took his place behind a couple of his friends, and waited while the Capitol woman struck up a long, boring speech he had heard at least four times before. "Well, ladies first as always." She chirped, and started fishing through a bowl of paper slips until she pulled one out and read a name out loud. Flynn wasn't paying any attention. "And now for the boys." She wobbled across the stage in her 7-inch heels and pulled a slip from the other bowl.

"Is there a Flynn Wilson here?"

Flynn did a double-take. He really wasn't expecting his name to come up. The boys behind him started pushing him forward. He slowly stepped up next to his district partner girl. His plan for winning had better work.

* Time skip to reaping*


Oceanna, District 4
Oceanna constantly pants her pastel blue dress, pulling it down and patting off specks of dust. She stands next to another girl, who wears a blue dress, too. The girl stares intensely at the front of the stage. Oceanna sighs, then faces the front. Then, the reaping begins. District 4's escort, Poppy, bumbles on stage, digging her hand into the reaping bowl. Oceanna holds her breath as the name is announced.

Oceanna!

Oceanna lets out her breath, panting heavily. Before she can digest the information, The girl next to her pushes her forward, and she stumbles onto the stage.

Jasper, District 1

Jasper adjusts his tie, not wanting to be there. He's only fourteen, but looks a lot older, getting winks and waves from a group of sixteen year olds. Then, district 1's escort bumbles on stage, reaching in and pulling out the male's name. A twelve yea old boy begins moving forward, looking frightened. Jasper knew what he had to do. Quickly, he runs forward, pushing the boy behind him. " I .. I volunteer! The boy looks up at him, before getting pulled away. Jasper steps onto the stage.
Diana, District 7
** She's going on stage.** Diana smirks, climbing the stairs. Everyone is giving her sad looks, but she's actually excited, patting down her yellow dress.
Clark; District 8

Clark trots on stage as she's chosen, giving no expression. She smiles at a couple of boys she knows, then nods. She pats her dress down, fixes her red dress, sniffles, and holds back the tsunami of tears.

Ruth waited for her district partner to be called. (Its supposed to be Justice's character, but she said she's quitting.) She met the guy and smiled. "Well, hold hands!" The woman said. Ruth held hands with the guy and the escort flipped her hair back and forth. "Happy Hunger Games!" She yelled out. Ruth kissed her fingers and then she was taken to a building.

Flynn stared the girl Tribute in the eye, trying to determine whether she was scared or would make a tough opponent. He reluctantly took her hand. "Happy Hunger Games, and may the Odds be ever in your favour!" The Capitol lady sang before forcefully dragging both kids offstage into the Justice Building.

Ruth sat down. "So, what are we doing now?" She asked. "What? You don't know?" The escort, Darly asked. "Oh, right. This is District 13,"

((I actually forgot what was next..))

"I volunteer!" Diamond shouted. She was called up to the stage, smiling.

Jasper, District 1

Jasper stares at the smiling female tribute. He looks her up and down, and then flashes his famous fake-but convincing- smile. He reaches out, grabbing and shaking her hand firmly before whispering, " We're obviously in the careers this year. Will you be in, too?" He whispered into her ear.

"Of course, why wouldnt I? My respected grandmother was a career." Diamond sneered, and tyen looked back at the crowd, entertaining them with waves and jumps.

Ruth headed back home and said goodbye to her mom and dad. She left a letter for her baby sister who didn't know how to read, but it was just in case if she didn't make it. She was sitting on her room when her mother called her. She looked around. "Yes?" She asked. Her mother hugged Ruth tightly. "I'll miss you.."

In the Justice Building, Flynn's parents showed up to say goodbye. "Look, I've trained harder than almost anyone in our district. I'm going to win this. I promise." He kept his face blank, even though inside he wanted to break all the walls down and shoot himself. He knew he was ready for this, but there was still a good chance he'd end up slaughtered before he even reached the Cornucopia.

Jasper; District 1

Jasper grinned at the girl, letting go of his hand and scratching the back of his head. She was quite pretty, really. But this wasn't the LOVE games, It was the Hunger Games. And even if he wanted to live, he would have to kill her sooner or later, too.

Diana; District 7

Diana hopped into the Justice Building, skipping inside. She sat down on the leather couch, rubbing her fingers against the fabric and admiring a bamboo plant in the corner of the room. Just then, Diana's grand-mother ran in, grasping her tight. " Baby I'm so sorry." She said between tears. It was obvious her Grand-mother thought she was going to die. " Don't be; I can win." Diana said, trying not to sound pathetic. her grand-mother nodded, and looked around before pulling a wooden ring off her middle finger. It was made out of maple wood, with tiny carvings in it. " Keep this as your token." She whispered. SHe slipped it onto Diana's finger, gave her a kiss, and left the room.

Oceanna; District 4

Oceanna shook hands with the boy, and he seemed exactly as frightened as she was; He was digging her fingers into the back of her hand. She tried not to notice, but when he let go, she quickly rubbed her hand, and seen the marks he had made. " Great." She rolled her eyes, realizing she was on-stage. Then, she stood up quickly, her face turning bright red. When they finally entered the Justice Building, before she could even react, her brothers, sisters and father came in, clinging onto her and grabbing her. " I LOVE YOU I LOVE YOU" They shouted, between cries and wails. " GIVE YOUR SISTER SOME SPACE!" Her father yelled, as all her siblings scattered behind him. " Keep this, It was your mother's." He said, holding out a blue anklet with dolphin charms and wave charms on it. " For good luck." She nodded, pulling the anklet into her hand and hugging her father, not wanting to let go. Soon, though, him and her siblings were pulled away, and muffled words were all she heard as the heavy door slammed and the teas began to flow.


Clark; District 8

" LET GO DELL!" Clark said, rolling her eyes. " Were's grandpa, anyway?" " He didn't wanna come; He said he was gonna cry a lot." Clark rolled her eyes, again. " This is from me and the old geezer." Dell said, holding out a silver ring with a shiny emerald in the middle. " We were gonna keep it for your 21s birthday to celebrate you not going into the games, but.." Dell paused. " I'm gonna make it out alive." Clark replied, snatching the ring. " This was Ma's, right? It's pretty." " Yes." Dell said, hugging her one last time. " MAKE SURE YOU COME BACK TO US!" He yelled, as a peace-maker pulled him out of the room.

Flynn walked stiffly up onto the train. He had to admit he was impressed by all the high technology and lavish decorations, but he chose not to show it on his face. These were all made by the same people that were a few days away from being brutally killed on live television. Everyone he was going to see over the next few days, his escort, mentor, the other tributes, all couldn't wait to watch him die. His only hope was to kill them all first. Trust no one. Grab a sword and slice their heads off before they could do the same. Flynn shrugged and stalked off to his compartment.

Diamond fiddled with her earrings. She inherited them from her grandmother when she died, and they've been a lucky charm for years. I'm going to beat those little rookies, she thought.

Jasper; District 1


Jasper glanced at Diamond, poking her shoulder. " Let's get onto the train." He muttered, stuffing his hands into his pockets and entering the train.



[ I have to go now.]

Flynn switches on the large, shiny television in the corner of his compartment, so he could watch the Reaping recaps and learn some stuff about his opponents. The tributes from 1 and 2 looked overly confident, acting like they knew for sure they were going to win. The girls from 10 and 9 burst into tears when they were called. Flynn smirked. Those two were going down. Everyone else looked somewhere between shocked and exited. Flynn shut off the TV and went back out into the hall.

"Okay..." Diamond hopped onto the train, and made herself a banana smoothie out of the fruit and milk she found on a table, and a blender in the back. She took a sip of it, and sighed.

Flynn walked back into the dinner compartment. His district partner was nowhere to be found. Flynn shrugged, examining the room. Since District 3 isn't too far from the Capitol, they'd be there the next day. Tributes from 10, 12 and 13 might take a couple hours longer, but they'd all be ready for the chariot parades in time. Flynn wondered how well the District 13 tributes would do. No one knew what to expect, because this would be the first year 13 would be participating. 1, 2 and 4 won the games fairly constantly, 12 and 11 almost never. 3 had it's fair share of victors, but the careers definitely had the upper hand. Flynn groaned. This might be his last week alive. He was going to have to be plenty prepared if he was going to make it out.

Diana; District 7


Diana had to admit; She was quite impressed by the lavish and exquisite decorations on the train. She examined a yellow flower in the corner of a room, then made her way to eat. She might as-well enjoy herself, right? She pulled a loaf of bread out, cutting a large piece and devouring it. She drank a cup of water, and took large bites of a green salad with ranch dressing on top, and sugar to top. She savoured the delicious taste; But then, the thought of all the starving District 7 kids came to her, and she felt ashamed. Her stomach groaned, and she pushed away the salad Suddenly, she wasn't very hunger.

Jasper; District 1

Jasper followed Diamond, and threw some pears into a blender. He blended it, and then poured it into a glass cup, taking sips as he walked next to Diamond. " These are pretty good!" He said, taking a large sip and wiping his mouth. He flashed his fake - yet beautiful- smile at her.

Ruth hugged her parents and family. She patted her little sister. She carried her and embraced her, still a bit sad. Her mother looked at her in the eyes. "Here, have this." She said, giving her a long pearl necklace with black drawings in each. There were drawings of different symbols. "Thanks mother." She stood proudly as her father put it along her neck. "Stay safe!" Her mother yelled as she was taken away. "PLEASE! STAY ALIVE!" She yelled desperate as she got away, her husband trying to calm her down.

Ruth got on the train. Her district partner seemed quite nervous. He seemed to be older than her, but Ruth was simply more mature. She sat down and ate at the dining room. "Hey, kid. Calm down, alright? Its going to be alright." She said. She looked in a mirror. "We're just going to stay at the Capitol for the couple of days and then we'll arrive at the arena. Its your decision. Train at the right things and you'll survive. In other words, make an alliance with me." She said.
